About Us

Food Grown Right Here
Did you know that the Potomac Highlands of West Virginia is one of the major agricultural production areas in the state?  The six county area produces a wide variety of beef, pork, poultry, eggs, syrup and produce - all grown by local farmers looking to sell their products directly to you.

Why buy locally from the farmer?
By buying local products directly from the farmer or through local retailers, not only do you get the freshest, highest quality, and best tasting products, you are putting more money directly into the pocket of your local farmer, which supports our local economy and strengthens our food system right here in your community. You are also enabling a fair wage for producers for their work, while paying comparable prices you'd pay at a grocery store.

The Potomac Highlands Producers
The Potomac Highlands Producers is a group of participating farmers and producers, supported by state and local agricultural specialists, Eastern West Virginia Community and Technical College and community members, all working together to sell more local food products and raise awareness of the abundance of products available. The project is funded by a grant from the USDA's Local Food Promotion Program.

Business Support for Farmers
The Potomac Highlands Producers also provide technical support and business advising to farmers and producers through business training, one on one coaching and webinars - all completely free of charge. To take advantage of our services, contact us today.

How to Participate
If you are a producer interested in participating as a member of the Potomac Highlands Producers, being listed on this site to drive sales to your farm products, or just want to talk about increasing sales of your products locally, please contact us by email at potomachighlandsproducers@easternwv.edu
